How To Start Affiliate Marketing Without A Website

Not everyone wants to build a blog or a website to get started with affiliate marketing, especially those who might not have the capital or the time to create this type of asset, so today I am going to view some of the less time consuming, or simply other methods on how to start affiliate marketing without a website.

It's worth noting that some of these methods will still require you to create content, or connect, but you don't have to have hosting or a domain to succeed.

YouTube

This will always be at the top of the list when it comes to affiliate marketing, without requiring the need for a website or blog.

YouTube is a traffic goldmine and can be as good, if not better than having a website, especially if you are in a niche that works well for 'how to videos' or 'physical reviews'.

It can work a lot like creating content for a website, researching and understanding the target audience and the potential keywords that you are trying to target. Ensuring that your descriptions, meta tags and headlines are all on point.

Creating content for YouTube can be a little more expensive, especially if you want to grab good cameras and lighting, but you can also just find yourself some screen capture software such as Screencast-O-Matic or if you have Windows you can use their inbuilt screen recording software. Simply press Windows Key + G and it will open up your game bar, tell Windows you are using a game and start recording!

To get started, head on over YouTube and create your account!

Instagram

I love using Instagram with Affiliate Marketing, you can plug in so many different niches with Instagram.

There are also loads of ways to create content for Instagram, from doing videos, lives and stories, to getting someone else to do the content for you. Check out this quick guide to find out how I do it.

Instagram is a highly visual social media platform, niches with awesome images, well done videos or products that can be shown through the power of pictures do really well on here.

This can be a great platform for those who want to run an automated Affiliate business or want to build a profitable side business without having to write articles or create long videos.

Getting started can be as simple as downloading the Instagram App and creating content. The more you publish, share and engage, the more followers and potential customers you will fnd.

Adding a link in your bio can also help funnel those followers towards your offers. I recommend using Linktr.ee to add all of your potential offers too.

Email Marketing

A difficult one to get right, and it can take a lot of testing, examining the data and tweaking before you find the winning product or the right sequence, but it can be a fun way of earning affiliate commissions without a website.

For this to work, you are going to want at least an email autoresponder, such as GetResponse or Aweber.

Either work as they also come with their own email capture pages, without the need of a platform such as BuilderAll or ClickFunnels. Though there are a ton of different landing page builders these days.

You will of course need to build your email list up, and there are a number of ways to do this.

One of the quickest ways are Solo Ads, paying bigger lists to send their subscribers to your offers and email capture pages to build your own list. One of the most popular marketplaces for this is Udimi

Other ways to build lists can be done via Facebook ads and native ad networks. If you are struggling to build your list, then some platforms provide you with 100 fresh leads a day, for around $30 a month. The leads may not be amazing, but if you have a product to promote, then sending an email a day may provide you with commissions!

Direct Linking & Ads

This method works really well for those who rock at adverts and creating ad copy.

It can also be one of the riskiest, most expensive, but also most profitable and easiest to scale.

Some sites, such as BuilderAll ,Exitus, Legendary Marketer and even Easy1Up all have the ability to directly link to their website, or your own versions of their website.

Doing this means you can set up ads, plug in your affiliate links (they are usually a website owned by them with your ID attached)  and away you go.

This can of course be hit a miss, as you are limited to the amount of data you get back from these sites. You usually cannot attach Google Analytics, so it's more difficult to detect or understand profitable keywords.

If you really want to succeed with this method, I would recommend checking out Affiliate Secrets. It is one of the best courses on ads, direct linking and how to succeed!

Facebook

People scream and run the other-way when you mention Facebook, but it's a gold mine of 2b+ people. Tapping into 1% of that market gives you 2 million potential people who want to learn or enjoy the product you are offering.

Running Facebook groups, doing outreach and connecting with people can help you build up a tribe of followers and potential buyers.

Creating your own content and publishing it on your timeline, in large groups or within your own Facebook groups can be a great way of getting started with affiliate marketing without your own site.

TikTok

A platform that I really want to get started with in 2020, TikTok is still getting bigger, every single day.

A lot like SnapChat or Instagram, or if you remember it, Vine back in the day. The short 60 second clips can be an amazing way of getting across your offers without sounding like a sales person.

People are currently using it as a way of directing people towards YouTube channels, blogs, Facebook or even directly towards offers.

If you are willing to create the content, then you can build up a huge following on this relatively young and new platform!

Landing Page Platforms

I left this one too last, as some see them as websites, and usually you need to utilise one of the other methods to make these work.

Funnels and Landing Page platforms such as BuilderAll or ClickFunnels can be used to build short, easy to read pages designed to either sell a product or capture an email.

Using ads, solo ads or social media can be great ways of pushing your potential customers towards these pages. If you manage to get people towards these pages, then they may help you increase your conversion rates on product sales, or improve your optin rates, especially versus autoresponder capture pages.

A method that Franklin Hachett teaches within Savage Affiliates 2.0 is to drive traffic towards a product pre sell page, stuffed with information about the product you want to sell. If they try to leave you can capture their emails, and you can even direct them straight to the product checkout so that they don't see another pre-sell page.

Conclusion

In this day and age, having a blog or a website, doesn't have to be the show stopper that it used to be.

There are so many ways to generate commissions, without the need of a website. If you are shy, or don't want to write for a living, then you can still earn affiliate commissions with a variety of different ways.
