Free Alternatives To ClickFunnels

When it comes to creating landing pages, funnels, and other marketing materials, ClickFunnels is one of the most popular options out there. However, ClickFunnels is not the only platform available these days, and it may not be the best option for you. There are many free alternatives to ClickFunnels that offer similar features and tools. 

You may be seeking free ClickFunnel alternatives due to lack of budget, or simply wanting to test the water with ideas before committing to $$$'s per month. Whatever the reason, this list should provide you with lots of ideas and platforms for you to get started with, for free. 

What Does ClickFunnels Offer?

To try and understand what free alternatives there are, it's worth exploring what features ClickFunnels actually has. At the heart of it, ClickFunnels is a funnel building platform.

Designed to allow you to create different funnels such as 

• Simple 2 step lead capture funnels
• Sales funnels with upsells and downsells to increase visitor and lead values
• Webinars & Tripwires 

And a whole host of other recipes and templates to cover a variety of sales or lead generation activities. For those who are feeling fancy, you can also upgrade to the premium version activating their affiliate program (backpack) and their email autoresponders to allow you to follow up with new contacts.

ClickFunnels integrates with a number of other platforms through an easy to use API. Simply choose the platform you want to integrate from their list, add the correct keys and details and new contacts can be added into autoresponders or CRMs for sorting and follow ups.  

With a drag and drop interface and a fairly intuitive design, it's pretty easy to get a 2 or 3 page funnel set up. You can also import, or share other peoples funnels. Allowing you to get started even quicker by using a pre-built funnel that someone else has created and sold, or given away for free.

How Much Does ClickFunnels Cost?

Of course, for many ClickFunnels is seen as expensive for what they offer. Which is why a lot of people look for cheaper ClickFunnels alternatives, or free alternatives. 

For their core offering ClickFunnels costs $97 per month. This gives you access to the majority of their tools and features, such as the drag and drop builder, integrations and share funnels. 

But, if you want to unlock the autoresponder and affiliate side of things, you are going to have to shell out $297 per month. Which, lets be honest is an expensive bit of kit, especially when sadly neither of those areas work that well. 

ConvertFlow

First off the ClickFunnels alternatives bat is ConvertFlow. A 'smart funnel' platform that focuses landing pages, quizzes, funnels and sign up forms. 

They offer a limited free option, which gives you access to a single website (or domain) and 250 conversions per month. They do offer as many campaigns as you like, and unlimited pages, so you can throw as many different funnels or landing pages as you see fit, which is nice. But with 250 conversions you may not get very far. 

You are also given the ability to integrate with a few different platforms such as Zapier, Shopify and MailChimp. If you are doing affiliate marketing, this isn't going to be the platform for you, as MailChimp is just going to throw your account and leads away as soon as you send that first email. 

GetResponse

A lot of people don't see GetResponse as a funnel builder, or any kind of ClickFunnels alternative, as lets be honest, it's an email marketing platform.

But GetResponse does offer landing pages and very rudimentary funnels that more importantly drop straight into your GetResponse account. The free version offers 500 contacts, 1 landing page and their drag and drop website builder. 

The single landing page does limit you a little, but it should be more than enough to get started. Tied with the 500 contacts and the fact you don't have to pay for anything to get started, this really is a great free ClickFunnels alternative.

AWeber

Much like it's email marketing competitor, Aweber also now offers a completely free tier, with access to landing pages and drag & drop builders. Again, with 500 email subscribers and sign up forms, they are are a hot contender when it comes to free funnel builders. 

Unlike GetResponse, you are not limited to the number of landing pages, so you can play around with different templates and versions, but you can still only capture 500 emails. 

Their drag and drop builder, and templates does make creating landing pages a lot easier, so if you are new to creating these optin forms you should be in good hands. They also give access to email automation, meaning you can create autoresponders as part of your landing pages. Something that ClickFunnels doesn't offer on their basic plan. Letting you save $97+ per month. 

If you are looking to use them for Affiliate Marketing, then you do need to be careful, but if it's for other businesses you should be ok.

GrooveFunnels

Launched late 2020 with a huge fanfare, I have mixed feelings about adding it too this list. GrooveFunnels is a free alternative to ClickFunnels, there is no denying it, but they are also buggy and unfinished. 

It's part of the 'GrooveCM' family, and the whole platform is stitched together across different tools. 

GrooveFunnels sat in BETA for 10+ months, it still feels lacklustre and missing polish to make this a great contender. As with others, they do offer a variety of tools and features, including a landing pages AND proper funnel building suite.

Out of all of the ones in this list, they do have the best offer (at least on paper). With unlimited domains, pages, templates, share funnels, products and lots of payments gateways. You really can start making sales pages and funnels, with a variety of products on offer. 

The problem, though not everyone agrees, is the fact it's buggy and unintuitive to navigate. Some people love it, and you may love it yourself. It's always worth creating a free account just to see if you get on with their platform.

Systeme.io

A firm contender for the best funnel builder 2022, and a huge favourite for a lot of funnel creators. Systeme.io is relatively new funnel building platform that became popular due to people using it promote Legendary Marketer.  

Systeme.io has a 100% free mode, that includes access to funnels, autoresponder and even the ability to create blogs. The drag and drop funnel builder is a lot like Thrive Architect, or Elementor. 

The free autoresponder can be an issue, especially as you are at the mercy of their IP address and email servers. But, it's free.

What Is The Best Free Alternative To ClickFunnels?

After looking at a number of free alternatives to ClickFunnels, there are 2 or 3 that stand out, depending on your skills and requirements. If you are looking for a a simple landing page/capture page, that can funnel your leads straight into an autoresponder, then GetResponse will be the one to go for. 

For those who need a little extra boost, with a proper funnel (i.e you are looking at selling a product, with upsells and downsells) then Systeme.io is going to be the hot funnel builder for 2022.
