Salehoo vs Doba vs WorldWideBrands

When you plan to start your own business, there are like a thousand things that must be running through your mind before you can address your customers and serve them. A very important thing among starting a business is that how you are going to acquire the products you want to sell to your customers.

Basically, there are two methods known as drop shipping and wholesaling that can have you the access to products from all around the world.

Drop shipping and wholesaling:

These are the two methods in which the business supply management system stands on. Wholesaling is the procedure in which you buy inventory or the products in bulk at a discounted rate. Drop shipping is a totally different procedure as it involves a third party that works for you and sells products to your customers on the behalf of your company. Both of these procedures have their own advantages and disadvantages but the business sector totally depends on them.

There are so many companies out there in the market that you can choose for wholesaling and drop shipping but today we have picked out three companies that are famous around the globe as the best wholesale dropship suppliers.

Salehoo

Salehoo is a wholesale supplier company based in New Zealand which connects drop shippers and suppliers in different countries.

It has suppliers from different countries such as US, UK, Australia, New Zealand and China.

They also provide you with the information to DropShip or source the suppliers from places such as Amazon or eBay, giving you details on the current selling prices, potential profit and how popular they are.

Salehoo has now provided their customers with pre-built stores, filled with products that are targeted towards certain niches, or can be purchased to be used as a general store.

To check out the full range of tools that Salehoo offers, including eBay stats, supplier details and more, checkout the Salehoo Review.

Salehoo Labs

Pros

  • Low Cost - $67 for the year (a lot lower initial cost than others)
  • Large range of seller tools - eBay trends, hot products, product labs
  • Companies are vetted before being added
  • Trader guarantee (Salehoo will cover you if something goes wrong)
  • eBay Partner Certified with a A+ rating

Cons

  • Smaller database than other companies (still an impressive 2.5million products)
  • Branded products can be purchased through Salehoo, but the competition is high

Doba

Doba is a DropShipping focused list provider, acting as a DropShipping marketplace.

Doba's marketplace allows you to find products, export them off the site and onto your Shopify or WooCommerce store quickly.

Unlike other list providers or DropShip marketplaces, you are required to purchase the product after you have made a sale, which adds a bit of time. You essentially order the product from Doba, rather than adding it too your own site and purchasing straight from the supplier who might be on other sites such as AliExpress.

They have a great database filled with millions of products to choose and sell. As an online seller, you want access too as many products as possible. As with Salehoo, each supplier is vetted,  and then given a scorecard rating

Salehoo vs Doba vs WorldWideBrands 2 salehoo vs doba vs worldwidebrands

Pros

  • A lot of products are on this database
  • Provides 'Hot Products'
  • Daily Deals provided to boost your profits
  • Easily export to eBay, Amazon or via Data Exports

Cons

  • Only get access to the export abilities on the higher priced tiers
  • Quite expensive, even at the cheapest, it's still 5 times more than Salehoo, or even the lifetime of WholeSaleBrands
  • Some of the products offered, do look too good to be true, especially considering the number of fakes - No guarantee, just a score card.
  • You need to be paying more to get access to the hot selling product reports (Advanced or Pro).
  • You also pay a $ per transaction cost

Salehoo VS Doba - Which one is better?

If I am honest, the fight between Salehoo VS Doba is pretty one sided. Here are some of the reasons why I believe Salehoo is just the better out of the two;

Competitive Pricing

The base cost for Doba is $29 a month, Salehoo offers you a number of tools, a huge database of products and all at essentially $6 a month!

You also don't have to pay per transaction, as you aren't really doing transactions here.

Similar Tools / Offerings

Both Doba and Salehoo both offer the same tools when it comes to offering DropShipping 'Hot Products', 'Seller Ratings' and even the ability to see trends. With the number of 'high quality' on items on Doba, but no guarantee other than a seller rating that they will be legitimate, makes me a little worried about Doba and it's offerings.

Doba does offer you the ability to export to other platforms, but if you are using DropShipping fulfilment tools such as Oberlo or AliDropShip then you don't need to export, as you can import from the store situated on AliExpress already.

Number of products / database side

For this, it's a bit of a tie breaker. Doba has a really impressive list of products available, with over 2million product listings and growing, compared with Salehoos 2.5million products, so really there is not much in it!

WorldWideBrands

You might start seeing a theme here.

WorldWideBrands is again a Wholesale & DropShipping supplier list provider. They currently boat access to 16million products, that have been vetted and are supposedly '100% Legit"

The company started in 2000, so they have been around for quite a while, and most will class them as 'the industry standard', but they do still have some negatives, especially in this competitive market.

They are split into two key areas;

Wholesale;

You essentially get given access to products and suppliers who specalise in the wholesale (large bulk buys) of items.  This is great if you are starting an online business, eBay store or even Amazon.

DropShipping Directory

More inline with the other two, the DropShipping marketplace is a place you can order your products straight from the supplier, send directly to the customer.

Pros

  • A lot of products are on this database
  • One price, no added extras
  • You get the wholesale side of the business as well - Great if you want to dip your toes
  • Products are updated quickly, so you have a fresh supplier to trawl through
  • WholeSaleBrands do offer scam protection and guarantee their products/suppliers are legitimate
  • They offer a free preview

Cons

  • $299 is a big hit to pay in one go, even with a limited free preview
  • No integration with sites, you have to manually get all the images and information straight from suppliers
  • With 16million products, there are a lot of duplicates and having too much choice is overwhelming for startups or people just getting into this niche
  • I personally don't find it user friendly to navigate around
  • It's mainly focused on Wholesale suppliers, you pay extra to get these items split and Dropshipped
  • No easy way to see trending items, or hot products

Salehoo VS WorldWideBrands

This is actually a difficult one too determine, as they cater for slightly different crowds.

But for the people I deal with and talk too, usually start-ups or young entrepreneurs looking to dip their toes in the water, Salehoo still wins this round and here's why;

Affordable Membership

The $299 upfront cost is a huge hit for someone who is trying to find a niche they can work with, or who are finding the products that they can start to supply.

$67 a year is much more entrepreneur friendly and you can easily find your feet or niche with such a low price. If you haven't paid back that $68 in a year, then DropShipping might not be for you!

Tools / Extras

WorldWideBrands really only provides you with a VERY large list of suppliers, they don't provide you with extras such as Hot Products, up and coming trends, eBay Top Sellers or anything in that realm. They do offer training and ways to stop yourself being scammed online, but Salehoo also provide free articles or training on similar issues.

Ready Built Stores

Again, Salehoo gives you the option of just purchasing a store, filled with products within your niche.

Are Any of Them Worth It?

All three of the services we have looked at, are used by hundreds, if not thousands of users, so that many people cannot be wrong.

They are as useful, and as good value for money as you make them. If you purchase a monthly membership for $29, find a product that you like, but don't create a nice looking store, then you have no guarantee you will make money.

At the end of the day, platforms such as Doba, Salehoo and WorldWideBrands help you by giving you trusted suppliers, wholesalers and DropShippers in one convenient place, without  the need to trawl through sites like AliExpress, or it's big brother AliBaba.

Salehoo Vs Doba Vs WorldWideBrands - Who Wins?

So, there we have it, 3 different platforms which are currently the provide the best wholesale and dropship supplier lists.

They all provide lists of suppliers, and their price ranges massively, as show above. Two of these three offer extra tools on top of just their lists, check out Salehoo or Doba, and all of them offer product databases in the millions.

For me, Salehoo still comes out on top, it offers the best of both worlds, by providing affordable product databases, as well as extra tools, such as Hot Products and Trend data, without having to pay extra!

  1. For me Salehoo wins right off the bat. I have always found that their website and analytics was pretty spot on!

The tools etc that they provide really stand head and shoulders above the rest.

Thanks for the Mexican Standoff, that made me laugh!
