Blogging is what I like to see as a pretty fun and interesting form of marketing and advertising, but for many, they struggle when it comes to finding how to be profitable. Today we are going to look at some of the best affiliate programs for bloggers, and also explain a little about why I think blogging is a great way to earn money online.

For me, blogging is a brilliant way to be creative with marketing, learning how to craft interesting words, that people actually want to read.

But, just as I teach people in the 5 day blogger bootcamp, your niche matters, as do the products, platforms or services you promote. Because if you don't have a decent affiliate program, you are probably not going to make a lot of money.

The Issues That Bloggers Face

It can be difficult for some bloggers to find decent programs, or even decent niches. For example it could be down to; 

• Awful commissions (*cough*Amazon*cough*).
• Really high competition
• or networks are only accepting seasoned affiliates or by referral only

Thankfully, there are thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of different affiliate programs out there, today we will dive into some of the popular niches that people enjoy blogging about to find what kind of programs and networks are available.

Makeup, Fashion & Beauty Programs

A huge niche, insanely popular with the likes of;

• Youtubers
• Instagrammers,
• Pinteresters
• and TikTokers,

There are a number of networks and individual programs too look into. 

ShareASale:

This is one of the most popular affiliate programs if you are in the niche of fashion and beauty. They work with many popular retailers to offer incentives to you. Here are some examples:

• Rent the Runway- 7%
• Romwe- 10%
• Modcloth 7%

Pepperjam

Another popular affiliate program, that is owned and operated by Parterize (another large platform that matches affiliates and companies together).

• Hautelook - 3%
• NARS- 8%

Target

The huge American retailer, is another winner, offering a 4% commission for sales. It's perfect if you focus on the fashion sector as the retailer is known for its affordable but elegant offerings in makeup, shoes, and clothing.

Commission Junction

Another big Affiliate Network that beauty and style bloggers work with. They work with many favourite brands to help you make money. Here is a sample of what you can expect:

This one is highly regarded among style and beauty bloggers, and it’s thanks to the fair commission rates and the beloved brands the company works with.

Business/Moneymaking Programs

For those who want to help people make money online, be it finding nifty software that can help save money on their taxes, training courses to learn how to become an entrepreneur or simply like offering money saving/making ideas, then these platforms and products might be for you. 

Be it via YouTube, blogging, Instagram or TikTok, the Make Money niche is a big one, and one that a lot of people will get into, or may even start in.

Legendary Marketer

This whole platform is devoted to teaching people how to market or build their own business. From affiliate marketing to coaching or webinar creation, Legendary Marketer probably has a book, course or mastermind that covers it. With commissions being around the 20 - 40% mark, depending on if you pay for the upgraded commissions or not (well worth it, if you are serious about promoting LM). 

Honey

This is a budget tracking app that helps people stay on track with their spending. It allows users to create goals for savings, keep track of their spending, and put earnings where they need to go.

Whoever you refer grants you a free month of access, getting people into the habit of managing their money and saving you from subscription fees!

Quickbooks

This is accounting software you've probably seen advertised on television or the Internet, and for a good reason. It is popular with small business owners that need to manage their books in an affordable and accurate way.

It's great if you are a blogger dealing in the accounting, small business, or financial sphere. It's so easy to weave into basically ANY financial content you want to create, and with an up to 10% commission rate, you can't go wrong.

Wealthy Affiliate

Probably one of the most well known affiliate marketing websites out there, with thousands of affiliates promoting them and earning monthly commissions, Wealthy Affiliate is one of those platforms that can become an income replacer, if you focus on just promoting it. 

Offering the ability to earn from $4 - $23 for a new paid members first month and then up to $46 recurring commissions per user per month, with just a few sign-ups per day or per week, you could start replacing your normal income (as well as being able to learn from the community). Wealthy Affiliate do have a free, premium and now Premium Plus versions of their training and platform, with the latter 2 offering boosted commissions (they offer 50 rather than the 25% as a 'starter' member) and of course, more training. 

TurboTax 

Another popular one you've heard of somewhere. This offers a 15% commission for each sale, and given that EVERYONE (at least in the US) has to do taxes, it's easy to promote and sell.

TurboTax is definitely focused on those in the US, as they obviously have to do their own (for some unknown reason), whereas Quickbooks is the business focused platform, TurboTax is for the everyday person, so has heaps of potential. 

Travel & Food Programs

Two huge niches, and one that does really well with image based marketers (being able to show off travel destinations or amazing recipes and food). 

Instagram and Pinterest are great platforms to show off the amazing destinations, beautiful hotels or tasty looking plates of food.  

Booking.com 

If you’re into travel, consider working with Booking.com. Commissions are based on stayed bookings for each month. It goes like this:

• 0-50 = 25% commissions
• 51-150 = 30% commissions
• 151-500 = 35% commissions
• 501 and up = 40% commissions

Running accounts that recommend a property, or show off amazing looking holidays is a great way to promote and potential earn commissions. It's open to anybody that has a travel app, a travel agency, or a site/blog. Signup is easy and free. Banners and deep links are available to you, too.

Amazon Associates

Of course, we had to have Amazon on here, and to be fair could have gone into any of these niches or areas, as Amazon caters for pretty much anything. 

It's THE place to go, for, well, everything. Suppose you are recommending a recipe with some hard to find ingredients, but you link to them in your blog, which takes the reader to an Amazon link to buy. You get a commission when they do and even when they simply click.

Rates are anywhere between 4-8%. And everybody knows and loves Amazon and their ability to deliver what you need at any time. This means you can end up getting decent checkout values, which of course provide higher commission values. 

HomeBistro

In a world where it's hard to get out into restaurants now, handcrafted meals of the gourmet variety are desired and welcomed. This particular program grants users 10% commissions and is perfect for your readers leading a busy lifestyle that want homemade food but just don't have time to make it as often as they'd like.

I would probably choose this over it's rivals, just because of that % based commission structure. 

Blue Apron

If you run a food or even health based platform, blog or even social media account, then Blue Apron could potentially be a great offering. 

They are a meal service, whereby they send out their subscribers new meals and recipes each week, allowing people to take the effort of thinking what they need to buy for dinner or lunch. 

Affiliates can earn $15 per new user they sign up, which isn't bad, though personally I would prefer a monthly %, as I feel this might offer a slightly higher overall commission, considering it's around $240 per month for someone to sign up for the service. 

Fitness & Health Programs

Bodybuilding.com

offers two types of programs. The first is a store affiliate, where specialty performance products are offered via their online shop. Second is called "All Access," and it is for their paid content. You get paid when one of your referrals signs up for a premium subscription to the site's great content.

The rate is 8% on orders put in by new clients and 3% for returning athletes. If you are a coupon only promo site, you may still earn 2% on every transaction.

The Vitamin Shoppe

You can earn up to 10% commission for your referred sales. The Vitamin Shoppe offers way more than just supplements, too- there is everything from beauty and hair care products, to pleasantly scented soaps, to fitness supplements every athlete can get behind.

You place the links on your site, which link back to their store, and use the logo, text links, and banners to earn commissions on any product you do sell as part of your linkback. They work with Commission Junction to execute this great affiliate program. Even if you are new, all it takes is just one click to apply.

Relationship Programs

SitterCity

Offers a program via the ImpactRadius affiliate marketing network. Use the link to search for SitterCity, and you will earn $30 for each premium membership and one dollar per registration that is completed. This is a program that can help couples find reliable childcare so they can enjoy time alone together.

These are more than your teenage kid looking to make money- they really hire people who care about and enrich the lives of the children they touch. It's so easy to weave into just about any blog post you make and is perfect for those of you with a family-oriented site or social media page.

Groupon 

Is a huge favourite among bargain minded couples. Everybody loves a good deal on date night, and when you work with the Groupon partner network, you will enjoy a 10% commission on all purchases through Groupon. It's a sure fire winner as over 100 million people around the world have downloaded the mobile app.

You will get all you need, including widgets, deep links, and dynamic banners. Best of all, they offer great deals on everything from restaurants, spa experiences, and theme park/recreational activities to hotel stays and more.
